Introducing Weishan
A superb, authentic old town, Weishan seems to have changed little since the last century. Still untouched by tourism, Weishan is home to a very charming and smiling population, making a stroll through its narrow streets a very pleasant experience. Weishan is an essential stop-off on the way to the Weibaoshan site.
Access : Weishan is now linked by express train to Kunming, and by a new motorway to Dali. Access is now easier, which takes away some of Weishan’s charm, but it still retains it, especially when combined with a visit to Weibaoshan and Donglianhua. In 2025, only a direct from links Kunming to Weishan : train C4302, 08:30-11:07. Other trains will require a change in Dali train station.
Recommended accommodation : small guest houses around town such as Laoguan. In you want to splurge, don’t hesitate to check The Dawn Luxury.
