Home to the Bai people minority,
Dali is located at the intersection of the
Yunnan-Burma Highway and Yunnan-Tibetan
Highway, roughly between Kunming and Lijiang.
Standing against the Cangshan Mountain on
its west, and Erhai Lake on its East, Dali
Old Town is one of the best places in China
to relax for a while. With many attractions
to visit (3 pagodas Temple, Old Town, Shibaoshan
Mountain), many activities to do (cruise
on Erhai Lake, trekking on Cangshan Mountain,
biking in Dali countryside) and many different
markets to explore (Shaping, Xase, Xishou,
Weishan), Dali is full of day-trips which
make this city as an inevitable destination
in Yunnan.
