Xishuangbanna Hike (4 days)

Hike to Xishuangbanna closest to the population, including meals and nights spent in homestays in modest conditions. You will use shared local and minivan minibuses. We recommend doing this trek from October to April, outside the rainy season where it is also very hot.

Through this hike from Jinghong, you will have the opportunity to visit and stay in small isolated and authentic minority villages, and discover the famous tea plantations of the region.

Day 1: Jinghong - Nannuoshan - Menghai. 3 to 4 hours of walking

Departure from Jinghong. Hiking in the mountain of old tea trees of Nannuo. Road to Menghai. Night in a simple hostel.

Day 2: Menghai - Aini village. 4h, 12km walk

Visit a local market in the region (depending on the day of visit). Discovery of a Dai minority village where traditional paper is still made. Hike among banana trees to an Aini minority village. Dinner and overnight in a local family.

Day 3: Aini village - Bama. 6 to 7h, 20km and walking

Beautiful hike from Magang to the village of Bama. Passage through several typical villages where you will enjoy a short break. Nice view of a lake in height. Dinner and overnight in a local family.

Day 4: Bama - Mengzhe - Jinghong. 2 hours walk

Short hike of about 2 hours from Bama to Mengzhe. Road to Jinghong via Menghai. You will be able to discover with your guide the city of Jinghong in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel booked by you. End of the hike to Xishuangbanna.
