Lijiang Weather
When to travel to Lijiang?
Located 2500m above sea level in a large valley, the winters in Lijiang are sometimes very cold, but never wet, while the winter days are pleasant (average of 15/20 degrees). Summers are often hot (sometimes 30 degrees in the day) but are very pleasant for visiting the region if the rains do not manifest too much (rainy season from June to September).
The best time to visit the area is in the spring or fall, when the weather is mild (neither too hot nor too cold) and the blue sky or dotted with small clouds makes possible the superb views of the Jade Dragon Mountain from the old town of Lijiang or its surroundings.
