When to travel to Xishuangbanna?
A region with a tropical climate similar to the countries of Southeast Asia, Xishuangbanna temperatures are always warm, sometimes untenable, especially in summer. The rains are also very strong in the summer. We do not advise you to visit the region between the months of June and September. The months of hiking in the area and the Xishuangbanna countryside are those from October to May. If you visit China or Yunnan during the winter, we advise you to spend a few sunny, hot days in Xishuangbanna. For French expatriates living in China, a holiday at Xishuangbanna will be perfect for Christmas or New Year holidays!
