When to travel to Dali?
Due to its geographical location, Dali being located in a large valley protected by the Cangshan Mountains right next to the great Erhai Lake, the climate of Dali is mild all year long. Rarely very cold in winter, summers are relatively mild (maximum 25 degrees), and the air is constantly cool. Dali is a city that is visited all year long. The only minor inconvenience is the rainy season from June to September, the rains can sometimes last several hours / days continuously, but this should not bother you for a visit to the region without hiking.
