Daily program: Jianshui and Yuanyang in South Yunnan (4 days from Kunming)
Day 1: Kunming - Stone Forest - Yuanyang (B) ~ 7h drive. Altitude: 1800m
Meet your English speaking driver at 8:00 am at your hotel. Long day drive to Yuanyang. On the way, discover the site of the Stone Forest (entry: 130RMB per person + 25RMB per person for a shuttle within the site). Free walk of about 2 hours inside the site, between rocky peaks and sometimes through narrow paths, away from the trails crossed by many Chinese tourists. Continue the road to Yuanyang area, to the small village of Duoyishu. Guests must pay an entry fee of 70RMB per person. Installation at the comfortable Jacky’s Guest House located in front of rice terraces. Dinner on the spot (not included).
Day 2: Yuanyang (B, L) ~ 2h drive
After breakfast, depart for a village in the Yuanyang area to attend the morning market (set according to the day in the Chinese lunar calendar). Continue to a small village where lunch will be served at one of the local families. In the afternoon, hike from 2 to 4 hours possible through beautiful landscapes of rice terraces, and small villages. Dinner (not included). Overnight at Jacky’s Guest House.
Day 3: Yuanyang - Jianshui (B) ~ 4h drive. Altitude: 1400m
Breakfast at the hotel. Possible visit of another market in the Yuanyang area, before taking the road to Jianshui. Lunch en route (not included). In the afternoon in Jianshui, free visit of the Confucius Temple (entrance: 40RMB per person), which is the second largest in China after that of Qufu, the master’s hometown. The set consists of a large park with pond, several courtyards, beautiful porticoes, temples and pavilions.You can also discover the gardens of the Zhu family residence (entrance: 30RMB per person). Installation at the charming Inn Lin An inn. Dinner (not included).
Day 4: Jianshui - Kunming (B, L) ~ 3h30 drive. Altitude: 1800m
Free discovery this morning of the small village of Tuanshan (entry: 30RMB per person) and its preserved traditional architecture. Stop also at the pretty bridge of the double dragon. Lunch (not included). Road back towards Kunming in the afternoon. Installation at your hotel. End of our services.
