When to travel to Jianshui?
Jianshui enjoys a mild climate all year long. Located in a large plain south of Kunming at just over 1500m altitude, Jianshui summers are hot (27 to 33 degrees during the day), while winters are mild (temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees).
As everywhere else in Yunnan, it rains the summer, during the rainy season from June to September, but less so than elsewhere.
At any time of the year, Jianshui, and its surroundings like the beautiful village of Tuanshan, is a very pleasant and almost unmissable stopover between Kunming and Yuanyang.
